Overview
The XDR Yamaha Exhaust System Kit is a bolt-on rear-section performance exhaust engineered specifically for the 2016-2021 Yamaha YXZ 1000R. Built to unlock a deeper, more aggressive tone and clean up the rear of your machine, this XDR Competition exhaust system connects at the factory slip-fit connection and is firmly held in place using the factory rubber mounts. Because it uses the vehicle’s existing mounting points and includes all necessary hardware, assembly is not required and installation is a straightforward at-home job.
At the heart of the system is the XDR “straight-through” Competition cross-flow muffler, a transverse, single-configuration design with absorption-style internals for a deep, moderate-to-aggressive sound level. A 2.25-inch mandrel-bent inlet tube feeds the muffler, while dual 2.25-inch mandrel-bent tailpipes tuck up high within the rear fenders for a clean, protected exit. Whether you’re chasing a better note or a tougher look, this catback-style exhaust system delivers on both.
Construction & Materials
The pipe is crafted from durable 409 stainless steel, capped off with a pair of 3.50-inch double-wall tips built from 304 stainless steel with black anodized aluminum end caps. Each polished/black anodized tip measures 8.5 inches long with an angle cut for an aggressive stance. A custom black powder-coated heat shield with a laser-cut XDR logo and integrated venting adds both protection and style, letting everyone behind you know exactly why your YXZ1000R sounds so good.

This XDR car exhaust and exhaust pipe kit is designed for the Yamaha YXZ 1000R. Please note: the system does not include a catalytic converter and is therefore not emissions compliant for on-road or trail use. It is intended for Competition use only and is not CARB (California) compliant. California Proposition 65 warning applies.
