Officially the XDR Off-Road® Magnum Grip “Hill-Killer” gated performance shifter, this kit is engineered for 2018-2023 Can-Am Sport and Trail 800 and 1000 models. It replaces your factory setup with a purpose-built gear shifter that delivers precise, positive engagement whether you’re on the trail or tackling a demanding climb.
At the heart of the kit is the Magnum Grip shift handle, machined from CNC billet aluminum for strength and finished in a durable MIL-Spec anodized black finish. Hill-Killer Gate Plate & Safety
The standout of this gear shifter is the Hill-Killer gate plate, constructed from heavy 10-gauge 304 stainless steel for long-lasting durability. It’s designed as a safety device for steep hill climbs: by eliminating the reverse lockout of a standard ratchet gate plate, it enables quick shifts from forward to reverse to help save the front end from going over backward on aggressive ascents. A spring-loaded stainless steel trigger provides positive locking and unlocking in and out of Park, so every shift gear movement is deliberate and secure.
An integrated security feature lets you install a standard padlock to prevent unwanted use of the vehicle — a smart addition for a machine that spends time parked at the trailhead or in the garage.

Note that a shifter knob is not included, and the kit does not feature an overdrive switch or a reverse lockout/safety lock — the reverse lockout is intentionally eliminated by the Hill-Killer design.
