At the heart of the kit is the compact, oval “straight-through” Flow FX performance muffler, which mounts behind the catalytic converter and delivers a moderate, deep and powerful exhaust note. Flowmaster’s straight-through design keeps interior resonance to a minimum, so you get an aggressive sound outside the cab without the drone on long highway pulls.
Construction & Durability
Every component is designed for the long haul. The system is built from 409 stainless steel for added corrosion resistance and durability, while 16-gauge mandrel-bent tubing preserves a smooth, unrestricted flow path from the muffler back. The mandrel-bent stainless tailpipe tucks up high in the undercarriage, helping protect it from being crushed when you’re traversing rocky terrain or working the truck off-road.
