The Flowmaster Flow FX Direct Fit Dual Mode Muffler brings split-personality performance to your truck with W.A.V.E. Technology™ (Wireless Active Valve Exhaust™). Engineered as a direct-fit replacement for 2009-2024 RAM 1500 (Classic body) trucks equipped with the 5.7L Hemi engine and factory dual exit exhaust, this dual-mode system delivers a refined performance tone in its everyday setting and unleashes a deep, open exhaust note at the push of a button. It’s the best of both worlds: a well-mannered daily driver and an unmistakable presence when you want to make your point.
How the Dual Mode Works
At the heart of the system is the round Flow FX performance muffler paired with a Power Chamber® that houses a high-quality wireless-controlled Active By-Pass Valve. In standard mode, exhaust flows through the Flow FX muffler for an aggressive-yet-moderate tone that’s a clear upgrade over the stock system. Activate the valve and exhaust is redirected through a large 3.00-inch turndown dump-style tailpipe, opening up that deeper, louder character on demand. Control is completely wireless, so switching between personalities is effortless.
Construction & Fitment
Built to last, the system features mandrel-bent 409 stainless steel construction leading into the Power Chamber, followed by the round 409 stainless Flow FX performance muffler that connects cleanly to the factory tailpipes. With a 3.00-inch inlet and outlet, offset inlet location, and OEM exit style using factory hangers, installation is a true direct-fit. The muffler measures 14.00 inches in body length with a 38.40-inch overall length, and the 3.00-inch diameter, 10.00-inch turndown tip is finished in silver 409 stainless to match the durable construction throughout.
