The Flowmaster Flow FX Cat-Back Exhaust System is a complete, bolt-on upgrade engineered to free up airflow and give your truck a deeper, more purposeful voice. Built around Flowmaster’s proven Flow FX performance muffler, this system replaces the restrictive factory exhaust from the catalytic converter back with mandrel-bent tubing and a straight-through design that lets exhaust gases exit with far less resistance.
Designed specifically for the 1994-2001 Dodge Ram 1500 and 1994-2002 2500/3500 models equipped with the 3.9L, 5.2L or 5.9L engine, this kit is a direct fit that uses the factory hanger locations. That means no cutting or fabricated brackets are required for a clean, secure install right in your own driveway.
Sound & Performance
At the heart of the system is a compact oval, straight-through Flow FX muffler measuring 24 inches in overall length with a center 2.5-inch inlet and outlet. It is tuned to deliver a moderate yet deep and powerful tone on the outside while keeping the interior sound very mild, so you get an aggressive exhaust note without a droning cabin on the highway. The 16-gauge, 2.5-inch mandrel-bent tubing maintains smooth, consistent diameter through every bend for unrestricted flow.
Construction & Durability
Every component is built to last. The tubing and muffler are crafted from 409 stainless steel in a silver finish for excellent corrosion resistance and long service life. The system is capped off with two 4.50-inch black ceramic-coated 304 stainless steel tips, each embossed with the Flowmaster name, exiting on each side of the truck for a bold, finished look.
