The Flowmaster American Thunder Crossmember-Back Exhaust System is engineered to unleash the full potential of high horsepower, large cubic inch V8 engines found in 1968-1972 GM A-Bodies. As a complete true-dual system, it replaces the restrictive factory plumbing from the crossmember back with a purpose-built, performance-tuned exhaust that delivers both power and unmistakable presence. Designed specifically for 2WD applications, this American Thunder kit brings proven Flowmaster flow characteristics to your classic muscle car.
At the heart of the system is a pair of large cased Super 40 Series performance mufflers, tuned to produce a deep, powerful, and aggressive exhaust note. Backing those mufflers is all mandrel-bent 3.00-inch tubing with a built-in H-pipe crossover assembly that balances exhaust pulses between both banks for maximum power and a rich, full-bodied tone. Every bend is mandrel-formed to preserve the full 3.00-inch diameter, keeping flow smooth from the 3.00-inch inlet all the way out the tailpipes.

Configuration & Materials
This American Thunder system is offered in 409 stainless steel with a silver pipe finish and a Lifetime Limited Warranty. If you prefer a different material option, the same design is also available in Aluminized steel backed by a 3-year Limited Warranty under part# 17200. Mufflers are included as part of the kit, while exhaust tips are sold separately, allowing you to finish the system to match your personal style. A heat shield is not included.
