The Flowmaster Outlaw Extreme Cat-Back Exhaust System is a purpose-built stainless steel upgrade engineered for the 2007-2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser equipped with the 4.0-liter engine. Built around Flowmaster’s aggressive Outlaw series muffler, this cat-back system is designed to deliver a deep, powerful tone while improving exhaust flow over the restrictive factory setup. At the heart of the system is 3.00-inch mandrel-bent 409 stainless steel tubing. Mandrel bends keep the diameter consistent through every curve, promoting maximum exhaust flow and increased performance, while the 409 stainless construction stands up to heat and the elements for long-term durability. The included Outlaw muffler measures 36.50 inches overall with a center inlet and a 3.00-inch center outlet, producing the aggressive sound level Flowmaster’s Outlaw line is known for.
Turndown Dump Design for Off-Road Clearance
What sets the Outlaw Extreme apart is its turndown-style dump exit placed right after the muffler. By eliminating the over-axle tailpipe entirely, this configuration improves ground clearance and departure angle-exactly what you want when tackling more extreme off-road situations. Fewer components hanging behind the rear axle means fewer obstacles between your rig and the rocks, ruts, and grades ahead.
Bolt-On Installation
This is a complete cat-back kit that includes all the necessary hardware and mounts to the factory hanger locations, making for a straightforward, direct-fit installation. Because it uses the factory hangers, you can bolt it on without cutting or fabricating custom mounts. The muffler is included in the kit, finished in black, with silver pipe, so the system arrives ready to install as a matched set.
