Every component is constructed from 16-gauge mandrel-bent aluminized steel tubing, including a built-in H-pipe crossover that balances flow between banks for a smoother, stronger pull. At the heart of the car exhaust are a pair of specially selected Super 44 Series performance mufflers (muffler part number 942546) that produce a deep, powerful sound with a moderate to aggressive tone inside and out. The 2.50-inch mandrel-bent tailpipes run dual out the back and finish with a slight turndown at the rear bumper for a clean, aggressive stance.

This kit is the aluminized steel version, backed by a 3-year Limited Warranty. If you prefer stainless steel construction with a Lifetime Limited Warranty, look to exhaust system #817282. Exhaust tips are sold separately, so you can choose the finish that suits your build. A heat shield is not included with this system.
Fitment
This American Thunder exhaust system is designed for 1967-70 Ford Mustang models with the 289, 302, 390, 428 or 429 engines and a 2WD driveline. Please note: it does not fit convertibles, cars with staggered shocks, or vehicles with exhaust cutouts in the rear valance. It also does not include header reducer cones or downpipes for factory manifolds. Confirm your engine and configuration before ordering to ensure the right exhaust pipe fit.
