BBK designed this cold air intake system back in the eighties to increase the performance of 5.0L Mustangs and it is still one of the best modifications for your Fox-Body. This cold air kit replaces the entire factory GT or LX system with large diameter, black powdercoated tubing and a reusable, high-flow air filter. Like all BBK air intakes, this kit is proudly made in the USA.
Lowers Intake Temps and Improved Appearance
The BBK fender well design isolates the air filter in your Mustang’s fender well and away from high under hood temperatures that drastically reduce horsepower and torque. This design also works great to improve the looks of your 5.0L engine bay since the air filter will not be visible.
Show Quality Construction
Each kit features large diameter tubing that not only increases the performance of your 86-93 Mustang 5.0L, it also will enhance the under the hood looks of your pony. Blue silicone hoses connect the tubing to the throttle body, mass air meter and to the air filter on 1988-1993 Mustangs equipped with MAF sensors. 1986-1988 speed density Mustangs will require an adapter kit for installation.
Easy Installation
Installation of this Mustang cold air intake is as simple as it gets and normally takes under an hour. The assembly does not require special tools or any additional hardware.
