Description
Overview
The Chevrolet, GMC (6.0) Computer Chip Programmer from Edge Products is engineered for gasoline-powered late-model GM trucks, giving owners a straightforward way to keep their vehicle’s calibration on point after common driveline modifications. Built as a dedicated Engine Service tool, it focuses on the real-world adjustments GM truck owners need most, backed by the engineering pedigree of the Edge Products name.
One of the standout capabilities is speedometer recalibration. If you’ve physically swapped ring and pinion gears in your GM truck, your speedometer reading will no longer match your actual road speed. This programmer lets you dial the speedometer back to accuracy for that gear change, restoring correct readings so your gauges, odometer, and speed-based driving all stay honest.
Key Benefits
Designed specifically for the 6.0 gasoline platform in Chevrolet and GMC trucks, this unit keeps the process simple and self-contained. It supports Wi-Fi updates, so you can keep the programmer current without hunting down cables or extra hardware. And because it requires no AC adapter, setup stays clean and hassle-free.
- Speedometer recalibration to correct readings after a ring and pinion gear swap
- Wi-Fi update capability to stay current with the latest available software
- Purpose-built for gasoline Chevrolet and GMC 6.0 trucks
- No AC adapter required for a streamlined, cable-light setup
- Engine Service focused tool from Edge Products
Important Fitment & Function Notes
When physically changing ring and pinion gears in late-model GM trucks, the factory cruise control will be disabled. While the Pulsar will allow you to recalibrate the speedometer for that gear change, it will not re-activate the disabled cruise control system or correct any codes that are set. GM laces this feature into the calibration files, and re-enabling cruise control or correcting any other codes or drivability concerns would require full ECM/TCM tuning. Plan your build accordingly if cruise control functionality is a priority after a gear change.
This programmer is focused on recalibration rather than performance tuning. It does not provide custom tuning, does not accept custom tunes from CMR, and does not include 5-volt data logging inputs. It carries Emission Code 7 and is not 50-state legal or CARB (California) compliant, so verify that it suits your local regulations and intended use before purchasing.
Why Choose This Programmer
For GM truck owners running the 6.0 gasoline engine, this Edge Products unit delivers a targeted, no-nonsense solution to one of the most common post-modification headaches: an inaccurate speedometer after a gear change. With Wi-Fi updates and a simple, adapter-free setup, it keeps your dash readings truthful and your maintenance straightforward. Please note this product carries a California Proposition 65 warning.
