The Flowmaster American Thunder Cat-back Exhaust System is engineered for the truck owner who wants a serious step up in sound and flow without the drone that makes daily driving miserable. Built as a complete cat-back package, this American Thunder® system delivers an aggressive exterior tone paired with a moderate interior tone, so your GM 1500 announces itself on the street while keeping cab conversations comfortable. It’s designed to fit 1999 to 2007* (2007 Classic Only) GM 1500 Extended Cab / Short Bed 4WD trucks equipped with the 4.3L, 4.8L, or 5.3L engines.
Built for Durability and Flow
The heart of this system is heavy 16-gauge mandrel-bent stainless steel tubing. Mandrel bending keeps a consistent diameter through every curve to help maximize exhaust flow and performance, while the stainless steel construction stands up to the elements for the long haul. A 3.00-inch inlet feeds a stainless steel Super 40™ Series performance muffler, delivering that signature deep, aggressive sound Flowmaster is known for without overwhelming the interior.
Dual Exit Options
Flexibility is built right in. The dual 2.50-inch tailpipes are routed to clear the factory spare tire and give you two exit choices depending on how you use your truck. Run them straight out the back for a true dual look, or exit out each side behind the rear wheels — an ideal setup for towing. The system is finished with a pair of highly polished 304 stainless steel tips, each embossed with the Flowmaster® name for a clean, unmistakable look at the rear of the truck.

This system is designed for 1999 to 2007* (2007 Classic Only) GM 1500 Extended Cab / Short Bed 4WD trucks with the 4.3L, 4.8L, or 5.3L engine. Please note this configuration carries a California Proposition 65 warning; a heat shield is not included.
