The Flowmaster American Thunder Crossmember-Back Exhaust System is engineered specifically for 1963-1966 Chevrolet C10 and GMC 1000 series 2-wheel drive V8 trucks. It is built for the non X-Frame, non torsion-bar front suspension platforms, and fits both short and long wheelbase configurations, making it a purpose-built upgrade for classic C10 and GMC 1000 owners who want a dramatic improvement in sound and flow.
Starting just after the factory manifold downpipes or a set of headers, this crossmember-back system delivers a complete, cohesive exhaust path all the way to the rear of the truck. Every section is constructed from mandrel-bent 2.50-inch 409 stainless steel tubing, so the exhaust pulses move freely for better performance while the stainless construction adds long-term corrosion resistance and durability.
Sound & Performance
At the heart of the system are dual Super 44 Series performance mufflers, each measuring 19.00 inches in overall length with an offset 2.50-inch inlet and offset outlet. The Super 44 is known for its deep, unmistakable rumble and that classic Flowmaster tone, delivering an aggressive to moderate sound level both outside and inside the cab. A built-in H-pipe crossover is integrated into the design to balance flow between the dual tailpipes and refine the exhaust note.
Choose Your Exit
Tailor the system to your build with a choice of three tailpipe exits: straight out the rear, side exit behind each rear tire, or dumped behind the rear tires. Whichever configuration you select, the system uses your factory hangers for a clean, correct fit and includes all the hardware necessary for an at-home installation.
