The Flowmaster Crossmember-Back Exhaust System is a mandrel-bent, true dual exhaust kit custom designed for 1959-1964 Chevrolet Impala, Biscayne and Bel Air models. Engineered for the enthusiast who wants a genuine dual exhaust setup, this system delivers all the necessary tubing from the crossmember back to the rear axle, giving your classic Chevy the free-flowing foundation it deserves. Every bend is formed on a mandrel to preserve full pipe diameter through the curves, promoting smooth flow and consistent performance.
This is a 2WD-specific application built around 2.50-inch stainless steel tubing. Because it’s a Pipes Only configuration, the kit ships without mufflers installed, letting you dial in exactly the tone and volume you want from Flowmaster’s performance muffler lineup.

Choose Your Mufflers & Tips
Because mufflers are sold separately, you have the freedom to select the exact sound level that suits your build. The system requires 2.50-inch Offset Inlet / Same-side Offset Outlet mufflers such as part #942549 (Super 44 Series) or #942544 (40 Delta Flow) if you’re running an oval case muffler. For an old-school sound, a pair of stainless steel Super HP2 mufflers like part #12518304 or #12518409 will get the job done, or you can step into the Flow FX family. Exhaust tips are also sold separately, so you can complete the look on your own terms.
Fitment & Notes
This crossmember-back system is designed specifically for 1959-1964 Chevrolet Impala, Biscayne and Bel Air models with a 2WD driveline. Please note it does not include mufflers, header cone adapters, exhaust tips, or heat shields. If you’d prefer to route the tailpipes out the back of the car instead of using the short turnouts, check out the optional over-the-axle tailpipe kit #81055 (sold separately).
