Overview
The Flowmaster Flow FX Direct Fit Dual Mode Muffler with Active Valve gives your truck two exhaust personalities in one bolt-on package. Built around Flowmaster’s new W.A.V.E. Technology (Wireless Active Valve Exhaust), this direct-fit muffler delivers a refined, moderate performance tone in everyday driving, then unleashes a deep, aggressive open-exhaust sound the moment you activate the valve. Engineered for 2019-2026 GM Silverado/Sierra 1500 (new body style) trucks equipped with the 5.3L engine, it replaces your factory muffler using the existing hangers for a clean, no-cut installation.
At the heart of the system is the Power Chamber, which houses a wireless-controlled active by-pass valve. In quiet mode you enjoy a nicer note than stock without droning through the cabin. Push the button on the included key fob and exhaust is redirected through a large 3.00-inch turndown dump-style tailpipe, letting everyone around you know exactly who’s boss. It’s the ultimate dual-mode setup for drivers who want manners on the daily commute and attitude on demand.
Construction & Performance
Every component is built for durability and flow. Mandrel-bent 409 stainless steel tubing feeds into the Power Chamber and the round Flow FX performance muffler, which connects easily to the factory tailpipe. The 409 stainless body, tubing, and 3.00-inch single-wall round turndown tip are all designed to resist corrosion and stand up to years of use. On the dyno, the system produces maximum gains of 9 horsepower and 11 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels, adding real-world performance to the improved sound.

Fitment
This system is engineered for 2019-2026 GM Silverado/Sierra 1500 trucks in the new body style with the 5.3L engine, including 2/4 wheel drive and all wheel drive configurations. The muffler features offset inlet, offset/center outlet geometry with 3.00-inch inlet and outlet diameters, a 14.00-inch body length, and a 40.40-inch overall length. As a direct-fit replacement with OEM-style exit, it drops right into the factory location for a hassle-free upgrade. Please note this configuration ships as a complete kit and carries a California Proposition 65 warning.
