Description
The K&N 69-0025TP Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system. This product replaces the factory air filter and air intake housing, allowing for increased airflow to the engine.
This air intake system is designed to smooth and straighten airflow, enabling the engine to inhale a larger amount of air compared to the factory setup. The K&N Typhoon air intake features a black rubber topped K&N high-flow air filter that fits into the previous air box space. The intake tube directs air into the engine’s throttle body, enhancing the engine’s performance. The attractive chrome-like finish of the intake tube is made to last, and it accommodates the factory EVAP vent hose, air temperature sensor, and crank case vent hose. Additionally, the oversized cone-shaped air filter comes with a water-repellent DryCharger filter wrap to protect against moisture. The air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed, depending on driving conditions. Installation is relatively straightforward, typically taking 90 minutes or less with the use of existing factory mounting points and basic tools such as a screwdriver, pliers, and a ratchet set.
