The result is a core that’s 51-percent larger than stock, with a 25-percent increase in internal core volume, and during testing this Fiesta ST intercooler dropped intake temperatures by 26F.
Built around Mishimoto’s tube-and-fin core construction, this forced induction system balances cooling capacity with weight savings, since the tube-and-fin layout keeps overall mass down compared to a bar-and-plate core while still allowing airflow to the radiator. The included air diversion plates channel air directly through the core for maximum efficiency, and the accompanying cold-side pipe features a CNC-machined sensor flange for the stock pressure sensor along with a port for meth injection or a boost gauge. A silicone hose and CNC plug are included to delete the stock sound symposer system if desired. As a complete induction system upgrade, the kit pairs an all-aluminum, TIG-welded core with durable silicone couplers and stainless steel T-bolt clamps so the piping holds firm under boost.
