Description

The Mishimoto High-Mount Intercooler Kit, MPN MMINT-BR23-21HKSLBK, is a forced induction upgrade built specifically for the 2021-2024 Ford Bronco’s 2.3L EcoBoost engine. This particular configuration pairs a silver intercooler core with black pipes, relocating the intercooler up into the grille for better airflow and trail protection while replacing the factory plastic piping with durable aluminum tubing and Mishimoto DuraCore silicone boots.

As a dedicated forced induction system component, this high-mount intercooler kit is engineered to help your 2.3L EcoBoost’s induction system breathe the coldest, densest air possible for consistent performance both on-road and off. The 3.1-inch-thick bar-and-plate core is precision TIG welded to cast aluminum end tanks, giving the induction force a 49-percent greater core volume and 93-percent greater external fin surface area than the stock intercooler. In dyno testing, that translated to outlet temperatures 21 degrees cooler than stock, and in trail-simulation heat-soak testing across six back-to-back dyno runs, outlet temps stayed 20 degrees cooler than stock. The larger-volume aluminum piping and DuraCore silicone boots let the induction engine draw and deliver airflow more efficiently while standing up to heat, pressure, fuel, and oil exposure over time.

Vehicle Applications

This Mishimoto forced induction intercooler kit is built specifically for the 2021-2024 Ford Bronco 2.3L EcoBoost. Coverage spans the Bronco Badlands (2021-2026), Big Bend (2021-2026), and Outer Banks (2021-2026) trims, the Base trim (2021-2023), the Black Diamond trim (2021-2024), the Everglades trim (2022-2024), and the Heritage Edition (2023-2026). It does not fit the Raptor Bronco equipped with the 3.0L EcoBoost engine, and adaptive cruise control may function to a lesser degree compared to the stock intercooler setup.
