Mishimoto’s MMICP-F2D-08HBK hot-side intercooler pipe and boot kit was built specifically for owners of the 2008-2010 6.4L Powerstroke who have had enough of the factory pipe’s restrictive bends. This forced induction upgrade replaces the stock hot-side plumbing with a 3-inch mandrel-bent, polished aluminum pipe designed to move air more efficiently under the heat and pressure a high-powered 6.4L generates.
The factory hot-side pipe and boot on the 6.4L Powerstroke were never engineered to keep pace with a truck pushed beyond stock output, and their tight, restrictive bends choke the induction system right when the engine needs airflow most. Mishimoto’s forced induction pipe kit replaces that factory intercooler piping with a two-piece, mandrel-bent aluminum design that eliminates those bottlenecks, helping improve airflow, power, and EGTs. The two-piece layout also makes this performance induction upgrade easier to remove and install than a single, awkwardly shaped factory pipe, and every kit includes Mishimoto Silicone Boots built with DuraCore technology along with Mishimoto Constant-Tension T-bolt clamps to keep connections sealed under boost.
