The Mishimoto MMINT-DMAX-17KBKP Performance Intercooler Kit is purpose-built for the 2017-2019 Chevrolet and GMC 6.6L Duramax L5P, replacing the factory intercooler system with a 68mm-thick bar-and-plate core and cast-aluminum end tanks. Engineered to reduce restriction by up to 64-percent versus the stock intercooler, this kit pairs the massive core with 3.0-inch mandrel-bent aluminum piping and Mishimoto DuraCore silicone boots for a direct-fit forced induction upgrade.
Whether your L5P is bone stock or heavily modified, this forced induction system is designed to keep charge air cooler under sustained towing and hauling loads. The 68mm core is 70-percent thicker than the factory unit, and larger end-tank inlets and outlets work together with the mandrel-bent piping to improve flow by up to 55-percent over the stock induction system. CNC-machined quick-disconnect fittings with new O-rings and spring clips let the Mishimoto pipes retain the factory fit and sensor/harness mounting locations, while three additional bungs give tuners room to add sensors or water/meth injection without hunting for space in a cramped engine bay.
