Description

The Mishimoto MMINT-FIST-14BK is the result of multiple prototype designs, each weighed against the last until one tube-and-fin core came out on top for the 2014-2019 Ford Fiesta ST. Finished in black, this direct-fit intercooler was engineered specifically around the Fiesta ST’s 1.6L EcoBoost engine bay, and during testing it dropped intake air temperatures by a full 26°F compared to stock.

Built as a purpose-designed forced induction upgrade rather than a generic induction system, this Mishimoto intercooler increases core size by 51-percent over the factory unit, adds a 25-percent increase in internal core volume, and boosts external fin surface area by 226-percent for far greater heat rejection. The tube-and-fin core construction was chosen specifically to shave weight versus a bar-and-plate design while still allowing airflow through to the radiator and AC condenser, since the core sits in the stock mounting location. Included air diversion plates route incoming air directly through the core rather than around it, keeping the whole forced induction system working at maximum efficiency. All-aluminum, TIG-welded construction rounds out a build meant to handle real performance induction duty, and it’s backed by the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.

This intercooler is a specific, direct-fit application for the 2014-2019 Ford Fiesta ST equipped with the 1.6L EcoBoost engine (chassis code B3). It bolts in using the factory intercooler location and is designed to work with the stock intercooler pipes as well as Mishimoto or most aftermarket pipe kits, so it drops into an existing charge-air setup without requiring a switch to a different piping system.
