Description

The Mishimoto MMINT-F150-11BK is a direct-fit, Stealth Black performance intercooler engineered specifically for the 2011-2014 Ford F-150 EcoBoost. Rather than settling for the factory intercooler’s small footprint tucked into the bottom of the spacious, oddly shaped cavity behind the front bumper, Mishimoto designed a uniquely angled core that fills that wasted space to deliver an 88-percent increase in core size over the stock unit.

This forced induction upgrade is built around an all-aluminum, TIG-welded bar-and-plate core that boosts internal core volume by 66 percent and external fin surface area by 40 percent, giving the induction system far more surface area to shed heat before charge air reaches the engine. Mishimoto backs this performance induction piece with real dyno testing: on a stock tune, it delivers a bolt-on gain of 11 whp and 13 tq, and with an aftermarket performance tune those numbers climb to 39 whp and 33 tq. Because the core stays in the stock intercooler location, airflow to the radiator and AC condenser isn’t blocked, and a set of included air diversion plates guides ambient air directly through the core for maximum efficiency. A 1/4-in NPT drain plug is built into the lower mount to manage the condensation the 2011-2014 F-150 is known for, and 2011-2012 trucks also get a CNC bypass bung. According to Mishimoto, this forced induction system drops intake air temperatures by 50°F (10°C) compared to the factory intercooler.
