Machined from 304 stainless steel and TIG-welded into a mandrel-bent design, it does away with the factory suitcase muffler entirely so the 6.2L V8 can be heard in its rawest form, all while shedding 8 lbs from the rear of the car.
Where the factory axleback keeps volume in check with a heavy suitcase muffler, the Mishimoto Race Axleback system trades that restriction for an extremely aggressive exhaust tone under both acceleration and deceleration, converting the stock dual-tip setup into a bolder quad-tip layout. Because the system requires cutting of the stock exhaust piping, the included cutting template and instruction card walk installers through correctly measuring, marking, and cutting the factory pipes. Note that fitting the additional quad exhaust tips also requires the GM quad-tip rear bumper valence, GM part #23404791, which is not included with this exhaust.
