Description
Overview
The FASS Fuel Systems Drop-In Particulate Separator Filter is a Coalescing Water Separator engineered as a direct replacement element for FASS Drop-In Series fuel systems. Rated at 10 microns and sold as each (part number CWS1010), it captures fine debris and separates water from your diesel fuel before it can reach sensitive injection components. If you have ever asked what a particulate filter and coalescing separator actually do, the answer is simple: they protect your fuel system by trapping contaminants and pulling water out of the fuel stream, helping keep your engine running clean.
Key Benefits
This diesel filter uses tight coalescing media to consolidate water droplets so they can be collected and expelled through the built-in drain, making routine maintenance straightforward. As part of the FASS Drop-In Series, it installs into compatible drop-in systems using its 1 Inch-14 thread and an internal post seal for a secure, sealed fit. Whether you are refreshing a high-mileage rig or maintaining a well-tuned diesel, keeping a fresh separator element in service is one of the easiest ways to safeguard fuel quality.

Fitment
This coalescing water separator is designed to fit FASS Drop-In Series Systems: DIFSRAM1001, DIFSRAM2001, DIFSRAM3001, DIFSRAM4001 and DIFSFRD1001. Confirm your FASS system model before ordering to ensure the correct application. As a Drop-In Series element, it is intended to slide into place of your existing separator without additional adapters.
Important Installation Notes
Please note the following before installing: if this coalescing water separator is installed on a Signature Series system, it can cause additional sound output from the FASS due to the tighter media. If this filter is used on a Signature Series or Industrial Series system, it must be placed on the suction side. Following these guidelines helps you get the intended performance and noise characteristics from your setup.
For diesel owners who want reliable protection against water and particulate contamination, this FASS Drop-In separator element is a practical, purpose-built choice. Pairing clean fuel filtration with regular maintenance keeps your diesel fuel system operating the way FASS intended, so you can drive with confidence knowing your fuel is being separated and filtered before it hits the injectors.
