As the lower priced sibling of AWE’s renowned Touring Edition, this Track Edition delivers the same quality construction and the same power gains, making it a compelling performance exhaust upgrade for B8 S4 3.0T owners who want a more aggressive character behind the wheel.
This is a true Cat Back exhaust system, crafted in-house from premium T304L stainless steel for lasting durability and corrosion resistance. The key difference from the Touring Edition lies in the removal of AWE’s sound-cancelling 180 Technology™ rear-mufflers. The result is a louder, rowdier tone throughout the mid range that transforms the driving experience of your car.
Sound & Character
Fair warning — this thing gets rowdy. With the rear-mufflers removed, this exhaust system produces a distinctly louder mid-range tone. S-Tronic owners should take note: this catback exhaust will be especially loud at part throttle. Because of the deliberate removal of the rear-mufflers, this system cannot be returned due to sound, so choose the Track Edition when you’re ready to embrace maximum attitude from your Audi S4.
Downpipe Options
To complete the exhaust pipe path, AWE offers Resonated and Non-Resonated Downpipes (sold separately). The Resonated Downpipes feature resonators larger than the stock units to produce a more mellow sound volume, while the Non-Resonated Downpipes are suited for owners seeking the loudest setup AWE offers in the S4 lineup. Both downpipe styles use larger-than-stock tubing diameter. Note that in limited cases, factory downpipes have been known to emit minor rattling noises when paired with the AWE S4 exhaust system, a possibility eliminated when running AWE’s own downpipes.
