Overview
The AWE Tuning Intercooler Kit for the 2010–2017 Audi Q5 (2.0T, AWD Sport Utility) is a direct front mount upgrade engineered to bring soaring intake air temperatures back under control. During development of AWE’s 2.0T Q5 exhaust systems with performance software, engineers found that the stock front mount intercooler simply couldn’t cool the intake charge at elevated performance levels — temperatures climbed and power fell off as rpms rose. This car intercooler was designed to solve exactly that problem.

That proven end tank design is already in use across multiple platforms. The test results were dramatic: the AWE FMIC reduced Intake Air Temperatures (IATs) by a maximum of 31 degrees F over stock — a difference of nearly 25%. That massive drop yields even better performance in warmer climates and higher-power builds.
