Description
The Mishimoto Race Intercooler, MPN MMINT-EVO-01X, was precision engineered specifically for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and installs as a complete bolt-in upgrade. Built around a large 3.5-inch thick bar-and-plate core with a strategic core composition, this Mishimoto forced induction component is designed to pull intake temperatures down while keeping pressure loss to a minimum.
Air intake temperature has a direct impact on power output, tuning headroom, and consistency, and this intercooler was built to address that within your Evolution’s forced induction system. On a 350 whp test vehicle, the Mishimoto intercooler produced an 8 whp / 10 wtq gain over the factory cooler and dropped intake temperatures by 28 degrees Fahrenheit, and the design is rated to support everything from a stock Evolution up to 600 whp. It works with either the factory intercooler piping or Mishimoto intercooler piping, giving owners flexibility as their induction system evolves. All-aluminum cast end tanks were engineered to promote smooth air dispersion through the core, improving airflow and adding durability, and the unit is finished with a Sleek Silver or Stealth Black powder coating for added protection against road debris.
Vehicle Applications
This intercooler is a specific-fit part engineered as a direct bolt-in upgrade for the 2003–2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, and it also covers the 2005–2006 Lancer Evolution MR and RS trims as well as the 2006 Lancer Evolution SE. Because mounting points are application-specific, this is not a universal intercooler.
