The Mishimoto Thermostatic Oil Cooler Kit (MMOC-WRX-15TBK) is a direct-fit, bolt-on cooling upgrade purpose-built for the FA20DIT-powered 2015-2021 Subaru WRX. In place of the factory liquid-to-liquid oil cooler, this kit installs a Mishimoto sandwich plate with a rear-mounted thermostat that opens at 185°F (85°C), feeding a black, anodized 19-row bar-and-plate cooler mounted low in the front grille for maximum airflow. Mishimoto testing shows a proven 20°F (11.1°C) drop in oil temperature with this setup, giving street and track WRX owners a real tool to keep oil temperatures in check.

As a Mishimoto oil cooler kit engineered specifically for cooling-critical driving, this kit addresses a well-known weak point of the WRX’s stock liquid-to-liquid oil cooler, which can struggle under sustained aggressive driving or track use. Preassembled stainless steel braided lines with -10AN fittings deliver oil to and from the cooler, and the kit increases total oil capacity by 0.75 qt. It’s a full bolt-on Mishimoto cooling solution that requires no vehicle modification to install, and it retains use of the stock liquid-to-liquid oil cooler unit rather than deleting it outright.
