The AWE Tuning Track Edition Exhaust System Kit is built specifically for the 2012–2017 Audi S5 Coupe (3.0T, AWD, B8 platform), giving driver-focused owners an unapologetically aggressive soundtrack backed by real engineering. As the lower-priced sibling of AWE’s renowned Touring Edition, this catback exhaust system is crafted from the same premium T304L stainless steel, built in-house, and delivers the same power gains — the difference comes down to sound. By removing AWE’s sound-cancelling 180 Technology™ rear-mufflers, the Track Edition unleashes a noticeably louder, richer tone across the mid range. Fair warning: this thing gets rowdy.
Sound & Performance
This performance exhaust produces a bold, louder tone in the mid range that lets your 3.0T breathe and announce itself. S-Tronic owners should take note — the system is especially loud at part throttle. Because the rear-mufflers have been removed, this exhaust cannot be returned due to sound, so choose the Track Edition when you truly want a more assertive car exhaust character. Despite the added volume, AWE backs the system with a No CEL Guarantee and it carries a 50 State Legal voluntary label, with no tune required for installation.
Downpipe Options
To dial in your ideal volume, AWE offers Resonated and Non-Resonated Downpipes (sold separately). The Resonated Downpipes feature resonators larger than the stock units for a more mellow sound volume, while the Non-Resonated Downpipes are built for owners seeking the loudest setup AWE has to offer. Both use larger-than-stock tubing diameter. Note that, in limited cases, factory downpipes have been known to emit minor rattling when paired with the AWE exhaust — a concern eliminated by pairing with AWE downpipes.
