Valve Simulators Explained
When you step up to a Track Edition version of these systems, the factory exhaust valves are eliminated, and the ECU stores what is known as a ‘soft code.’ While this code is not harmful, who wants it? Enter the AWE Electronic Valve Simulators (sold separately). These simple devices plug right into the factory harness in place of the exhaust valves and prevent that code from ever being set. Adding the simulators keeps everything clean when you shop for exhaust upgrades that remove the factory valves.
