The Mishimoto 2015-2021 WRX PCV Side Baffled Oil Catch Can System (MMBCC-WRX-15PBE) is a purpose-built engine component engineered specifically to combat carbon buildup on the FA20-DIT direct-injection engine. At its core is one patent-pending Mishimoto Compact Baffled Oil Catch Can that intercepts PCV blow-by before it recirculates into the intake, trapping oil and contaminated vapor rather than draining it back into the oil pan like many air-oil separators do.
As a critical addition among car engine parts for direct-injection platforms, this catch can protects the intercooler, intake system, and other essential components of an automobile engine from oil-laden blow-by. An internal air diverter increases turbulence so oil separates and sinks to the bottom of the can, while a 50-micron bronze filter lets only clean air pass through toward the intake.
