Fabricated from high-strength 6061 aluminum with an anodized black shaft and a powder-coated black bracket, this license plate relocation kit is built to bolt directly into the factory tow hook location on the Civic Si and Type R.
Relocating the front plate to the side of the bumper reduces wind resistance and clears the center of the fascia so more air can reach the radiator and intercooler. The bracket is angled to follow the contour of the bumper for a clean, seamless installation, and the kit ships with all necessary mounting hardware, including stainless-steel license plate screws, plus a drilling template for modifying the fog light housing. On certain non-Si or Type R models, the inner plastic bumper will need to be trimmed to fully access the tow hook mount.
