Where the stock unit relies on a comparatively small core and plastic end tanks, Mishimoto engineered an all-aluminum, TIG-welded replacement with a substantially larger core to keep charge temperatures in check.
Air-to-water intercooling systems depend on a dedicated heat exchanger to shed heat picked up from the intercoolers, and the factory piece on the Q50/Q60 becomes the bottleneck in that cooling loop.
