The AWE Tuning Volkswagen (Wagon – 1.8 – AWD) Exhaust System Kit is a Cat Back performance exhaust built for drivers who want their car to sound as serious as it drives. This is the Track Edition — raw, rowdy, and unapologetic. As AWE puts it, “If raw and rowdy is your speed, then this is your dose of the steel.” It retains all of the precision engineering of its Touring Edition counterpart, minus the 180 Technology, leaving the resonated mid section as the only filter. The result is a car exhaust with real presence.

Because it’s a genuine bolt-on exhaust system, no tune is required and there’s no 180 Technology to configure — you install the exhaust pipe hardware and let the resonated mid section do the talking. AWE backs the kit with a Fit Guarantee and a No CEL Guarantee, and it carries a 50 State Legal voluntary label, so you can shop for exhaust upgrades with confidence.
This Track Edition version is known to get rowdy, and may be too much for many. For that reason, this particular version cannot be returned due to sound preference. But fear not — if after running the Track Edition you decide it’s a bit too much, AWE makes it easy to swap over to a Touring Edition with the Conversion Kit. Just bolt it on and tone it down a bit — easy.
Tips & Finish
When it comes to tips, the Track Edition finishes off with two 102mm slash-cut tips in a Chrome Silver finish, each featuring the AWE logo so everyone knows what team you’re on. The 4-inch tips are individually adjustable, allowing depth into the bumper to be set according to personal taste, and they’re double walled to ensure a mirror finish even under hard usage.
