The AWE Tuning 18-23 Audi TT RS Quattro (2.5) Exhaust System Kit is a handcrafted, cat-back exhaust system engineered around the TT RS’s iconic 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine. Built as a SwitchPath™ Edition, this performance exhaust delivers two distinct attitudes on demand — a quiet, refined character for early mornings and around-town cruising, and an aggressive, signature AWE tune the moment you drop the hammer. Smooth bends and tight packaging keep everything factory-clean under the car, while the valved design gives you full control over how loud your TT RS wants to be.
Engineering & Materials
Every SwitchPath™ exhaust system is built from U.S.-sourced T304L stainless steel for lasting corrosion resistance and durability. The single-pass design combines 3-inch and 2.5-inch tubing with a 5-cylinder-specific tuned driver’s-side muffler and a valved passenger-side tip outlet. This exhaust pipe layout is purpose-built to complement the RS’s unique firing order, producing enhanced RS burbles and a distinctive character that only the five-cylinder can deliver. As a true cat-back exhaust system, it installs with a Fit Guarantee and requires no tune.
How the SwitchPath™ Valve Works
The SwitchPath™ system retains factory valve behavior and obeys the TT RS’s ECU commands, responding to throttle input, engine speed, Drive Select, and the factory-issued exhaust button inside the cabin. Sneaking out in the morning or creeping through town? Close the valve for a composed, civilized note. This catback exhaust comes standard with Diamond Black 180mm RS-style oval tips — two tips finished in a bold Diamond Black with a 3-inch diameter and a stamped AWE logo for an unmistakable, purposeful look at the rear of the car.
