The Mishimoto MMINT-WRX-15BK is a purpose-built front-mount intercooler kit engineered specifically for the 2015-2021 Subaru WRX, centered on a large 28in bar-and-plate aluminum core rated for approximately 600 whp during normal operation and up to 700 whp maximum. Every component, from the CFD-tested cast end tanks to the mandrel-bent piping, is designed to push more cooled air through your WRX’s forced induction system without the throttle lag or pressure drop that plague lesser front-mount designs.
As a dedicated Forced Induction upgrade, this intercooler kit is built for drivers who push their induction system hard, whether on time-attack laps or quarter-mile passes. The smooth, CFD-tested cast end tanks eliminate the sharp internal walls and bends that disrupt airflow in a typical forced induction turbo setup, while the 3.5in-thick core is optimized for maximum cooling efficiency with minimal pressure drop. Four mandrel-bent aluminum pipes, including 2.25in hot-side tubing with a CNC-machined flange for a leak-free turbo connection and 2.5in-2.75in cold-side tubing sized to match the throttle body, round out a complete, application-specific forced induction system upgrade over the factory intercooler and piping.
