The Mishimoto MMRT-F2D-11PN is a fully-welded aluminum primary degas tank engineered specifically to replace the failure-prone plastic coolant overflow tank on the 2011-2019 Ford Super Duty 6.7L Powerstroke. Repeated heat cycling makes the factory plastic tank brittle over time, leading to cracks and coolant leaks, and Mishimoto’s answer is to eliminate the plastic altogether in favor of durable, precision TIG-welded aluminum.
Beyond simply swapping materials, this Mishimoto Cooling component is built to improve how your Super Duty’s cooling system performs day to day. An integrated sight glass lets you check coolant level at a glance without removing a cap, while internal baffles keep coolant positioned near the overflow port during aggressive driving to help prevent air from entering the coolant system. The tank also delivers an 8.8-percent increase in coolant capacity over the factory unit and is designed to work with your factory cap, so there’s no need to source a replacement cap for installation.

Cutting of the stock battery tray is required to remove the stock degas tank from the battery tray; installation guide instructions cover this step. If the stock battery tray cannot be reused, a replacement tank and tray are available from Ford under part number BC3Z8A080H (2011-2016) or HC3Z-8A080-D (2017-2019).
What finish options are available?
This degas tank is available in a natural finish or a micro-wrinkle black powder coated finish. The natural finish may show some surface imperfections that will not affect powder coating or other customization, which Mishimoto does not provide as a service.
